Give a dog a home is now live!

This is my first ever project. Well, like so many people last year I picked up Godot and tried to make a game with an ever increasing scope with a very creepy feature creep and it just got too much for me and I gave up. I knew I had done things completely wrong and the advice is always to *make small games* - so here we are.

I found myself making a Neocities page recently, I immediately loved the site and felt the nostalgia for old internet (I actually still remember my Neopets password?! and it works???). I was making myself a site and I thought it would be nice to have a tamagotchi style pet, I had a look online at a few versions that I could embed on my page, and I didn't really love any of them, certainly they didn't feel like me. Then I realised this is my small game! I'll make a lil' pet and pop it on my site. Turns out even small games are not effort free games and this did have its challenges, Godot has had some major upgrades since I was using it last year and things were a bit different. But I got through it, and I've learnt a huge amount.

I read that you should make small games with aspects that you want for your *big* game, and whatever *big* game I make it will definitely need a doggy wandering around, so here we are, I did it!

If you have a website, I would like to suggest to you that it needs a pet.
